Slam-shut valves are designed and used, as a safety device, to cut off the gas flow quickly, at a time when the pipeline pressure exceeds or drops to a predefined level. This valve is placed upstream of the regulator and downstream of the filtration system. If the line pressure or static pressure downstream of the regulators is increased to an over-regulated pressure of Slam Shut, automatic gas flow cut-off occurs. After over-pressure correction, Slam Shut is manually reset.
Apadana Petro Farayand provides independent Slam Shuts and regulator/Slam Shut combination designs.
