For safety reasons, gas lines should be equipped with valves that cut off the flow of gas if there is an unacceptable increase in the outlet pressure. Unlike the safety blow-off valves, the safety shut-off valves block the gas stream. In addition, the shut-off valves have an emergency stop button that in critical situations, closes the valve manually or by remote control. Safety shut-off valves are available as a stand-alone device or in combination with a gas pressure regulator as an integrated control valve. Apadana Petro Farayand safety shut-off valves have many accessories such as a position indicator (open/close) & remote startup. These valves can use the flowing gas through the gas pressure reduction station as a driving force. Also, if instrument air is available at the operation site, it is possible to design shut-off valves that use instrument air for setting the valve position. These valves are made up of two parts, including the main body of the valve, which is generally made up of a ball valve and a control box. The control box includes instruments to create an appropriate valve response in an emergency. These devices are either made in Iran or can be easily supplied.
A safety shut-off valve is usually installed in factories and gas distribution units at the entrance of the pressure regulating station and provides control of the output pressure after the regulator. When gas pressure after the regulator exceeds the limit, the safety shut-off valve closes and shuts off the gas stream in the pipeline. The valve should be manually opened after removing the pressure-increasing factor.
The safety shut-off valves used in the Apadana Petro Farayand Company are designed and manufactured entirely by relying on the expertise and the know-how of the company's elite engineers and craftsmen.
